Remote Transport Sync (RTS) in Source-Connect Talent
Source-Connect features Remote Transport Sync (RTS) which allows for remote mix review sessions with picture/timeline lock. For Source-Connect Talent, RTS supports MTC only at this time. RTS is an integrated method of synchronizing remotely connected Pro Tools (or other DAWs that support MTC. Purpose-built for ADR, overdubbing and remote monitoring, RTS makes distance collaboration easier and more efficient than it’s ever been.
For LTC support, see the Studio and Facility versions.
Accessing the Remote Transport Sync (RTS) Module
You can access the RTS panel by clicking the RTS module in the Source-Connect application:
How RTS works in Source-Connect 4
To use RTS, one user must be in SEND mode and the other in RECEIVE. The RECEIVE user (usually the Talent) has no transport controls - effectively they now follow the SEND user in Mix/review mode. This version of Source-Connect does not support ADR mode, this will be available in a future update.
