DSP Mode has been automatically enabled for one or more tracks to preserve Low Latency Monitoring for the entire signal path.

Pro Tools with HDX | 2021.6.x | Mac OS

Description

When adding Source-Nexus I/O to a track's inserts in Pro Tools, you may see the following warning.

This will make the Source-Nexus I/O plugin go into Bypass mode, rendering it useless. Trying to turn Bypass off triggers the following error message:

Cause

As of version 2021.6, HDX Hybrid Engine is enabled by default in the Pro Tools Playback Engine.

Actions

In order to fix this error message, right click on the track and select "DSP Mode Safe".
