Relay Servers and IPs for Source-Nexus Gateway
This article is part of the Source-Nexus Gateway User Guide
For a seamless user experience, Source-Nexus Gateway relies on relay servers to facilitate communication. These servers act as intermediaries, securely transferring data between you and other users. When you transmit via Source-Nexus Gateway, the connection is first routed to a relay server. This server then forwards the transmission to the recipient within the application, thus ensuring efficient communication regardless of network configurations or firewalls that might otherwise impede direct connections.
Also, the relay server play a crucial role in protecting your privacy. By handling communication, they shield your IP address (your device's unique identifier on the internet) from other users within the application. This adds an extra layer of security, similar to how a sealed envelope protects the contents of a letter.
For Source-Nexus Gateway, we rely on Cloudflare relay servers. For more information, please visit https://www.cloudflare.com/ips/
