How to create a Signature using the Source Elements dashboard

  • Source Elements

Network Access is required to use the signature feature in the User Dashboard.

In the music industry, your profile is often your first impression. Using a signature generator that pulls from your profile ensures your emails look professional and include all the right contact details—like your role, links to your work, and how clients can reach you. A complete, accurate profile means your signature reflects exactly who you are and what you do.

How to create a signature in the dashboard

First off, make sure that you have filled in all of the information that you want on your profile in the Source Elements dashboard: https://dashboard.source-elements.com/account/profile. This not only includes the information at the top, but your affiliations and social media links, for example.

Then, once you are ready to create your profile, click the “Create Email Signature” on your profile information:

You will then see a read-only preview of your signature with two action buttons: “Download HTML” and “Copy to clipboard”:

Copying the signature to your clipboard

If you click “Copy to clipboard”, the content in your signature will be copied over - it will be ready for you to paste in the Signature settings of whichever mail application you use. For example, this is what the signature would look like in the Gmail settings and on an email:

Downloading the HTML

For our more tech-savvy users, you can also download your signature as an HTML file — which is perfect if you want to add it directly into your custom email setup or into other platforms.

Clicking “Download HTML” will then download a raw HTML file, which you can choose to open and edit the HTML in any text editor, giving you full control over the layout and styling.

Adding the Signature to your Mail Client

Here is a list of the most common mail clients and how to configure your signature in them. First, make sure to click “Copy to clipboard” to have the content ready.
