How to an Avid Eucon S1/S3 footswitch or soft key on Source-Nexus Mute-On
As of v2025.6, EuControl introduced support for controlling MIDI Continuous Controllers (MIDI CC) directly from the faders and knobs of the Avid Dock S1 and S3 surfaces. These softkeys can then be used as triggers in Source-Nexus Mute-On.

To begin using MIDI CC control, follow these steps:
- Open the EUCON settings.
- Add 4 MIDI ports:
- In the EUCON panel, locate the list of available MIDI ports.
- Click the “Add MIDI Ports” button to add a new range of MIDI ports to use with MIDI CC control.
- A new row will appear in the MIDI Ports list. Click the MIDI Ports column in that row to change the reserved port range as needed.
- Assign MIDI CC on Surface Strips:
- Connect to a EUCON-compatible DAW, and go to the Assign tab.
- For each surface strip, choose its source - this could be a specific track, the attentioned track, or now, the new MIDI CC option.
- Configure MIDI CC Assignment.
- After you select a MIDI CC, a new configuration section appears where you can specify a port, assignment name, midi channel and CC number.
- Each strip will now send and receive MIDI data.
- Fader movements sends absolute CC values.
- Knob adjustments sends relative CC values.
If you have set up MIDI ports in the Control Panel (as for the CC Faders), you can now add a new MIDI command to softkeys. This allows you to trigger MIDI commands directly from the softkeys on your control surface.
