MacOS Big Sur, DAW compatibility and Source Elements products

The latest versions of every Source Elements products work correctly in Big Sur for all features, with the following exceptions:

• Source-Nexus I/O Basic 1.1 works on Big Sur with a manual installation. It is not known to work on M1 Macs.

Logic

Version 10.6 is compatible with Big Sur and Apple Silicon.

Pro Tools

As of version 2021.3, Pro Tools is compatible with Big Sur.

Reaper

According to the Reaper download page, Reaper supports macOS versions from 10.5* to 11.0 (Big Sur).

Ableton

We do not recommend upgrading to the newest OS version for Ableton Live.

Studio One

Version 5.1.1 runs on Big Sur. They recommend checking the compatibility of any plug-ins before upgrading to Big Sur for Intel-based Mac hardware. It does not yet work on Silicon-based Macs.
