We have just released a third update to Source-Connect 4 with new features, a focus on better feedback channel for users and other general improvements. 

New Features & Improvements

⚙️ Resilience (Beta). We have introduced a new setting to the Sender section of the General Settings window - “Resilience”. This feature can improve audio stream quality, reducing audible “pops” caused by network instability even further.

🎨 User Feedback collection: to be even more aligned with your experience, we are introducing “Rate your Call” pop-up. It is a survey that will appear after each call, giving you an opportunity to tell us how you liked the session. Be sure - we will review each submission and find ways to improve Source-Connect 4.

⚠️ We are introducing data collection. Source-Connect 4 will automatically collect data regarding session quality, which will allow us to even further improve audio quality. We value your privacy. Our data collection practices comply with GDPR, meaning we only collect anonymous data meant to improve the quality of your experience. You can opt-out of data collection during the app installation, and we will delete your data should you request it.

🔧 General improvements to our algorithm that improve audio stream quality, reducing audible “pops” caused by network instability even further.

📌 Usability Improvements:

• The Restored files section is now sorted in reverse alphabetical order - the latest files are at the top of the section, making it easier to find the right file.
• The connections section in the Restore/Replace panel now has improved bulk actions per connection for a faster workflow.
• The full Watch Folder system path is displayed at the bottom of the Restore/Replace section for your convenience.
• Auto-detect and set the Watch Folder to match a Pro Tools session folder. When this option is enabled and Pro Tools is running, Source-Connect 4 will automatically set the Restore/Replace watch folder to match the Pro Tools session folder.
• Further enhancements to the Restore/Replace algorithm, resulting in even closer reconstruction of the recorded audio.
• RTS has been renamed to “SYNC” - a more intuitive name.
• The LTC signal peak level has been decreased to -20dBFS to reduce clipping of the signal.

🔧 Bug Fixes: A wide range of issues reported in earlier version have been resolved.
