The following table includes a list of all Source Elements products and plugins, and the DAWs, VST and Audio Unit hosts they are compatible with. The list also includes send-only DAWs and their limitations.

Not all hosts are suitable for Source Elements software because many hosts are “editors” and not “mixing” hosts”. If you can record, for example, your microphone input with a live reverb, then your host should be suitable.

As a rule of thumb, Source Elements support all Audio Unit hosts, and real-time VST (accepting live input) hosts that support VST 2.3 plug-ins and above.

Source Elements Plugin and External Communication Platforms

Source-Nexus I/O (legacy and Suite versions) and Source-Nexus Review are also compatible with communication platforms such as the Source-Nexus Gateway, Zoom, Skype, Google Meet and web-based applications.

Unsupported DAWs

These hosts have been found to not work with Source Elements plugins due to the way that they are configured to use plugins or due to incompatibilities. Note that these are not DAWs - they are audio editing programs and, therefore, do not run plugins in real-time. They can only be used to record on the VO side for backups (on Mac). On Windows, whether or not you can record with these depends on the audio interface and whether or not a true multi-client ASIO driver has been provided by the interface manufacturer. Windows will not share most plug and play audio drivers that install automatically when you plug the interface in.
