DAW Compatibility with Monterey

Below is a list of the most common DAWs and their compatibility with Monterey. We recommend checking each providers' webpage for up-to-date information.

  • Ableton: according to the Ableton help page, Ableton Live version 11 is compatible with macOS 12 (Monterey).
  • Cubase/Nuendo: according to Steinberg's help page, Cubase and Nuendo versions 11.0.41 are compatible with macOS 12 (Monterey).
  • Logic Pro: according to Apple's Technical Specifications, Logic Pro 10.7.2 is compatible with macOS 11 and higher.
  • Pro Tools: according to the Avid knowledge base, Pro Tools (First, Ultimate or HD) are not yet compatible with macOS 12 (Monterey).
  • Reaper: according to Reaper's download page, Reaper v6.42 (notarized version) is compatible with macOS (Monterey).
  • Studio One: according to PreSonus' compatiblity compatibility article, Studio One v5.4.1, build 66992 is compatible with macOS 12 (Monterey). They recommend checking the compatibility of any plug-ins before upgrading to Monterey for Mac hardware.
