This article contains onboarding instructions for Source-Connect Standard or Pro/Pro X
We recommend this informative video from George 'The Tech' Whittam.
Sign up for an iLok account if you don't have one: https://ilok.com/#!registration (No iLok USB dongle is required)
Sign up for your Source Elements account: https://dashboard.source-elements.com/
Get your trial license of Source-Connect (if you are not sure, choose Standard):
Download Source-Connect Standard or Source-Connect Pro/Pro X:
Install the software and login to the Source-Connect Standard application using your Source Elements account.
You are now ready to use Source-Connect and add your Contacts! https://dashboard.source-elements.com/contacts/search
Make sure to select your microphone as your input: in macOS you do this with the Audio Options menu at the top right. In Windows you will see the I/O menu in the front part of the application.
To test that everything is set up correctly and working, you can connect to any of the echo contacts in your contact list. You should hear voice come back into your headphones with a bit of delay. Don't worry, when you connect to a real person you won't hear this echo. It's just for testing. If you get any network errors or can't hear yourself see the Network Guide.
If you get stuck, ask for help at our community forums (https://academy.source-elements.com/forums/), news feed (https://academy.source-elements.com/news-feed/) or email us at email@example.com.
