This article contains onboarding instructions for Source-Connect 4 (Talent, Studio and Facility)

You can get a 15-day fully-featured trial for Source-Connect 4 (or other Source Elements products) by signing up for a Source Elements account in the user dashboard, navigating to the Products & Downloads > "FREE TRIALS" section in your dashboard. You will be able to immediately request the trial, download and install the application. The trial allows you to test Source-Connect's remote audio collaboration features, including its high-quality audio and session backup capabilities, by connecting to echo contacts for testing and then real users for production. Network Access is not required for Source-Connect 4 trials.

Step 1

Sign up for your Source Elements account: https://dashboard.source-elements.com/ and log into your new account.

Step 2

Go to the Products & Downloads section of the dashboard, open the “FREE TRIALS” tab and access the Source-Connect section. Then, click “Get Trial” for the option you want to test out.

Step 3

Click the "Request a trial" for Source-Connect" button at the bottom of the page that is opened.

Step 4

Click the “Download” button on the next page to download the software to your machine.

Step 5

Install the software and login to the Source-Connect application using your Source Elements account.

Step 6

Make sure to select your microphone as your input. You do this by clicking the cog icon in the top right-hand corner and then selecting your desired microphone and speakers:

The Studio/Facility version of Source-Connect will have more options in the settings panel:

To test that everything is set up correctly and working, you can connect to any of the echo contacts in your contact list. You should hear voice come back into your headphones with a bit of delay. Don't worry, when you connect to a real person you won't hear this echo. It's just for testing.
